Kingscote Barn, Tetbury

 – Fun –

When you scroll through the images of Alex and Olly’s special day, fun is what comes to mind. The lovely Alex and Olly were up for a laugh, so we had a good goof around with the groom’s men in front of the camera. For portraits of Alex and Olly without posing involved, we went for a little walk around the venue grounds. There was plenty of beautiful backdrop to shoot against, and the end results were stunning. Alex and Olly had a great time, and it really showed in the photos. The spirit in the wedding venue itself was of the same caliber when we returned from our little tour around the premises. The mini bottles of gin on the tables, prepared for the guests, had become shots for some and the laughter was roaring in the room. Everyone was having a great time!

The Day

The wedding took place at Kingscote Barn, in Tetbury. The historic Cotswold barn, branded as the perfect countryside wedding barn was everything it promised. The beautiful, light interior of the main dining hall has a mezzanine floor; and makes a lovely environment for indoor photos. There are plenty of outdoor options for photography set up by the venue for posed shots. We stayed away from these locations and had a free roam instead. I always find that a relaxed wander turns into the best images, rather than convincing the couple into a stiff pose. Alex and Olly had also hired a videographer. Helen Chapelin from Break Every Chain Productions was a real pleasure to work with. Turned out, she is also a top film maker – you can see the video of the day here. The afternoon sun was on our side, and the light just perfect for camera work.
